Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing & Estimates

Do you offer free estimates?

We do not offer free in-home estimates because sending a certified technician to your home requires time, vehicle expenses, and professional expertise to properly troubleshoot the appliance. We charge a standard diagnostic fee for the initial visit to figure out exactly what is wrong. However, if you choose to proceed with the repair, we will waive the diagnostic fee entirely and apply it directly toward the total cost of your repair. This way, the estimate essentially becomes free when you hire us to fix the issue!

Are there any hidden fees or extra charges for weekend service?

No, we pride ourselves on 100% transparent pricing. The quote our technician provides after the diagnostic is the exact final price you will pay. There are no hidden fees, unexpected part markups, or surprise labor costs. Furthermore, we understand that appliances break down at the most inconvenient times, so we do not charge extra or inflated rates for standard weekend appointments. We believe in honest, straightforward pricing so you always know what to expect before any work begins.

Can you give me a quote over the phone?

While our dispatchers can sometimes provide a general price range for very common repairs, we cannot give an exact quote over the phone. Modern appliances are complex, and a single symptom (like a refrigerator not cooling or a washer not draining) can be caused by several different underlying issues. To give you an accurate and fair price, our technician needs to physically inspect the unit, run diagnostic tests, and identify exactly which parts are failing. This thorough approach ensures that we fix the root cause of the problem and that you only pay for the exact parts and labor actually needed.
Preparation & Logistics

How should I prepare for the technician’s visit?

To ensure a smooth and efficient repair process, we kindly ask that you clear any clutter, laundry, or dishes from on top of and around the broken appliance. If the unit is built-in or located in a tight space, making sure there is a clear pathway for the technician to pull it out is incredibly helpful. Additionally, for the safety of your pets and our technicians, please keep all dogs, cats, or other pets in a separate room for the duration of the service visit.

Do I need to empty my refrigerator/freezer before you arrive?

In most cases, no. You do not need to empty your entire refrigerator or freezer before we arrive, as our technicians can usually perform the initial diagnostics with your food still inside. However, if the repair requires access to the internal back panel (where components like the evaporator fan or defrost system are located), the technician may ask you to temporarily remove some items. If you already know the issue is located at the back of the freezer, clearing a little space beforehand can help speed up the process!

Do I need to be home for the repair?

Yes, we require an adult who is at least 18 years old to be present at the property for the entire duration of the service appointment. This is necessary because our technician will need an authorized person to discuss the diagnostic results, approve the final repair estimate, sign the work order, and process the payment once the job is completed to your satisfaction.

Will you haul away my old appliance or broken parts?

We will absolutely clean up our workspace before we leave! Our technician will take away any broken parts, old components, or packaging materials generated during the repair process, leaving your home exactly as we found it. Please note, however, that because we are strictly a repair service, we do not offer haul-away or disposal services for entire old appliances.
Service Specifics

Do you repair commercial appliances or only residential?

Our primary specialty is residential appliance repair. We are fully equipped, trained, and licensed to service all major household appliances in homes, apartments, and condos. Currently, we do not service heavy-duty commercial or industrial equipment (such as those found in restaurants, hotels, or commercial laundromats), as these require different specialized commercial licenses and specific industrial replacement parts.

Do you work on gas appliances?

Yes, we absolutely do! Repairing gas appliances requires specialized safety training and protocols that many repair companies simply don’t offer. Our certified technicians are fully trained, experienced, and equipped to safely diagnose and repair gas ovens, gas ranges, and gas dryers. If you smell gas, however, please turn off the gas supply and contact your local gas company immediately before scheduling a repair.

My refrigerator isn't cooling. What should I check before calling?

Before scheduling a service call, we recommend trying a few quick troubleshooting steps. First, ensure the refrigerator is firmly plugged in and check your home’s electrical panel for a tripped circuit breaker. Second, take a look at the condenser coils (usually located at the bottom or back of the unit). If they are heavily coated in dust or pet hair, they cannot release heat properly, which prevents the fridge from cooling. A quick vacuuming of the coils often solves the problem. If you’ve checked these basics and the fridge is still warm, give us a call—it may be a failing compressor, a broken evaporator fan, or a sealed system issue.

Why is my washing machine leaking or not draining?

Drainage and leaking issues are among the most common washing machine problems. If your washer isn't draining, the most frequent culprit is a clogged drain filter/coin trap (usually blocked by lint, coins, or small items like socks) or a worn-out drain pump. If the machine is leaking, it could be caused by a loose or damaged water hose, a torn rubber door seal (especially common on front-load washers), or a cracked water inlet valve. If clearing the accessible drain filter doesn't solve the problem, our technicians can quickly pinpoint the exact cause and replace the faulty component to prevent water damage to your home.
Scheduling & Business Hours

What are your standard operating hours?

Our standard operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, our online booking system is available 24/7, so you can easily request a service appointment through our website at any time of day or night. We will confirm your exact time slot as soon as our office opens!

Do you offer emergency or after-hours repair services?

We understand that some appliance breakdowns like a refrigerator that suddenly stops cooling while full of groceries feel like absolute emergencies. While our technicians primarily operate within our standard business hours, we always prioritize urgent calls. If you are dealing with a critical issue, please call us as early in the day as possible, and we will do everything in our power to fit you into our schedule for a same-day repair.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

We know that life happens and schedules can change! If you need to cancel or reschedule your service visit, we kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Providing advance notice allows us to adjust our technicians' routes and offer that time slot to another family in your area who might be waiting for an urgent repair. You can easily reschedule by calling our dispatch office directly.
